File and Directory Permissions - Shared / Reseller Hosting

On our shared and reseller hosting packages the file and folder permissions are normally automatic.

In most cases the following applies:

Files should be - 644
Folders/directories - 755

You can change file permissions within the file manager of cPanel or within many ftp clients by right clicking on the file or folder. If you have any questions about securing your websites permissions, please refer to the documentation provided by the developer or contact our support team.
